Reavey & Son Electrical were established as a family run Electrical Contractor by father & Son, Bob & Shaun Reavey in 1989.
Despite the challenging times the business flourished and a satisfied client base grew steadily, as did the Company turnover and number of employee’s, so much so that in July 1999 the business relocated to larger premises with increased office and storage space in Hamble, Southampton, with a view to further steady growth and expansion.
As a direct result of this growth and the success of the business an amendment to the company trading status was made in 2012 when Reavey & Son Electrical changed from a partnership to Reavey & Son LLP (Limited Liability Partnership), trading as Reavey Electrical, albeit all other aspects of the business remain unaltered.
The business continues to move successfully forward in terms of growth, project value and complexity without losing our core values, priding ourselves on a collaborative working approach, project ownership and attention to detail and above all client service.
We undertake works in all aspects of industrial and commercial electrical installation and design, including individual bespoke residential developments, with completed project values ranging through the full cost spectrum from small works, typically within the region of £10 – £50K, up to major works having an electrical value of £2.5M (a snap shot of which can be found within the portfolio section on the site).
We are members of the NIC EIC and ECA professional trade bodies as well as being Construction Line registered and CHAS accredited. We hold a full compliment of standard industry insurances, including £5M Professional Indemnity cover, for works undertaken on a design and build basis.
Works of a design and build nature are undertaken in house by our professionally qualified engineering staff, adding to the complete service of professional expertise available to our Clients.
To maintain the Company principles of quality, standards and professionalism all Reavey staff from Management through to site base trainee’s are appropriately qualified in both technical and safety matters and follow a rolling programme of continual professional development and training.
Our in house Safety Advisor is qualified to NEBOSH standard level 3, supported by our external industry specialist advisors Croner Consulting and HCS Safety Limited.
The company runs a number of design software packages, has AutoCAD facilities, 3D modelling and BIM capabilities, as well as in house scanning and plotting stations
Our extensive client base, with whom we have enjoyed a continued successful working relationship for a substantial period of time, consists of numerous private and commercial organisations, as well as public sector local / regional government authorities.
